Burgundy (Bourgogne) is a famous, and famously misunderstood, somewhat complicated wine region of France. Essentially, you have several appellations (from north to south) named Chablis, Côte d’Or (made up of Côte de Nuits and Côte de Beaune), Côte Chalonnaise, Mâcoais and Beaujolais.
