Lesser Known Wines & Things Near Burgundy, France

This blog is a simple report on some perhaps lesser-known or interesting wines we found in an around Bourgogne (Burgundy), France during our stay from August 2008 to 2010. Not all the wines are from Burgundy, but are readily available in the region.  Since most wine enthusiasts already know about all the “Grand Cru” wineries of Burgundy (Pommard, Pulligny, Volnay, Nuits St. Georges, Vogeot, Santenay…etc.), we won’t comment too much on those, but instead try to find the small, little-known wineries whose bottles may never make it beyond the region’s borders.  Maybe they are great, maybe not. Maybe they are a great bargain, maybe not.  We’ll record our findings here for everyone to see.  Your opinions may vary.
